Today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite recipes for an easy and healthy snack!
My husband and I LOVE salt & vinegar anything! It’s a guilty pleasure of ours and there is usually some sort of snack with that flavor in our home… Miss Vickies Salt and Vinegar always gets the best of us!
This past month I have been determined to make some healthier eating habits in our home, eating more fresh greens was one of the things I wanted to work on. This recipe is the perfect healthy salty replacement!
It holds all the same flavor as the chips we love but has a lot more added health benefits than any potato chip.
Health Benefits Include:
Kale: Low in Saturated Fat, and very low in Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Dietary Fiber, Protein, Iron, Magnesium and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Calcium.
Olive Oil: Rich in Monounsaturated Fats, helping lower your risk of heart disease. It is also loaded with powerful antioxidants that can help fight diseases and inflammation.
White Vinegar: Very low in Calories, Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Manganese. It is also a proven to help aid with weight loss.
Sea Salt: Has a high Mineral Count and contains many of the important electrolytes our body needs such as Magnesium, Calcium and Potassium. It also helps to Alkalize the body.
Salt & Vinegar Kale Chips
1 Bunch of Kale
Wash and dry kale. Rip into small bite size pieces
Transfer to large bowl and add olive oil.
Add vinegar next and mix well.
Add salt and mix.
Preheat oven to 350° F
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and spread seasoned kale across evenly. Place in oven for 15-20 minutes. Flipping every 5 minutes. Keep a close eye on them as they can burn very quickly
Keep stored in a sealed plastic bag.
This snack is the perfect healthy option to kick any salty craving you may have! Its packed with flavor and has the same crispness as a chip, you wont even miss that big bag!
This recipe is so easy to make and requires very little time, which is important for any busy mama trying to stay healthy out there!
